Razor Shark Slot Review

Known for delivering top-notch visuals, unique mechanics, and monstrous volatility, speculation around Push Gaming's newest slots is running high and fans can't wait to see what they have in store. However, the wait can be long.

In this latest slot from Push Gaming, you have to swim with sharks. Which is an appropriate metaphor for the variance of the machine: violent. Because the game itself is actually pretty standard, but the volatility has been increased. The potential is far greater than in any other Push Gaming slot to date.

Utilizing 5 reels, 4 rows and 20 paylines, Razor Shark slot boasts mystery stacks. They may reveal matching symbols or Golden Shark symbols which, in turn, may reward bet multiplier coins or scatter symbols. The highlight of the game is the Free Games feature, where the combination of mystery stacks and a win multiplier can win you up to 50,000 times your stake.

Using your desktop or mobile device as a virtual submarine, you can immerse yourself in this deep sea experience from 10 cents and up to $100 per ride.

As always, when it comes to Push Gaming, the production quality is phenomenal. One of the first things you'll notice is the extremely catchy melody. It's an intoxicating instrumental that not only adds tension and excitement to the game, but will have you nodding in rhythm.

With cartoon-style graphics, Razor Shark takes place in the ocean where you'll see colorful corals and fish in the background, as well as a couple of Nemo and Dory look-alikes watching the reels. Do play Razor Shark demo to test it all!

Symbols include scuba tanks, flippers, diving masks and underwater cameras. The four sharks of blue, green, purple and orange color are more interesting. The latter is the most lucrative, giving you 25x your stake for 5 on a full payline.

The Great White Shark is the wild and replaces all symbols except the scatter. It is also the most valuable of all the symbols, giving you 50 times your stake for 5 matching symbols.

The Razor Shark RTP is 96.7%.

How To Play Razor Shark

The central element of the game is the “Mystery Symbol Stacks” feature. Each spin, four-stacked seaweed symbols can appear anywhere on the reels. When this is the case, triggering the Nudge & Razor Reveal function comes into play.

Similar to the “Nudging Wilds” feature in Tiki Tumble, the symbols in the Mystery Stack move down one position with each subsequent (free) spin and open up to reveal matching symbols or golden shark symbols.

If the mystery pile reveals golden shark symbols, Razor's reveal feature is activated. Once triggered, each golden shark symbol position reveals either bet multiplier coins, ranging in value from 1x to 2500x, or scatter symbols.

How to Win Playing Razor Shark

There is the Free Games feature which kicks in when 3 or more scatter symbols appear anywhere on the reels in the main game or during the Reveal feature (each additional scatter symbol rewards an extra spin).

Once the feature is activated, the second and fourth reels are filled with mystery stacks which move down one position each spin until they disappear, in which case the game ends.

Additional Mystery Stacks may also appear to extend the game.

Additionally, there is also a win multiplier that increases by 1x each time the Mystery Stacks are moved. This is a powerful combination that can lead to huge wins of up to 50,000 times your stake. At least that's what Push Gaming announces.

To everyone's surprise, in October 2020, the maximum win was massively exceeded when a player from Sweden won 85,000 times the stake.

Razor Shark Free Spins

There are a whole bunch of features such as extra rounds and bonus games in Razor Shark real money mode. Some require a certain combination of symbols, while others can appear completely randomly.

The sea mine is the game's scatter symbol, and three of these activate the free spins mode. If you get more mines in the free spins mode, you will of course get more rounds. In addition, each mine increases your position on the Mystery Stacks.

Mystery Stacks are the seaweed hiding secret symbols that appear in clusters. These are bars that can end up anywhere on the reel and show paying symbols or Golden Shark symbols. If you are in the free spins mode, the seaweed (Mystery Stacks) will be on reel number two and four, and there will also be a multiplier for all wins starting at 1x.

Slot Conclusion

Razor Shark is a slot game where Push Gaming sets the bar high by trying to outdo themselves in every way possible, albeit primarily through increased volatility and increased win potential.

Beware, this game is exceptionally volatile and will not suit all tastes. Unsuspecting players, lured by Razor Shark casino game’s cute appearance, may well be in for a shock, whether from a life-changing win or, more likely, a completely losing session.

As we mentioned above, there are fundamental similarities to Tiki Tumble , which in a way makes Razor Shark feel more like a sequel than an entirely unique offering. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but having been spoiled with one original release after another, it was undoubtedly a little surprising.

Also, you can always try Razor Shark demo version to try it all.
